Objectives: The P.G. Diploma in Mass Communication aims at giving its students professional training and qualify them for entry –level positions in mass media industries. They also obtain a strong educational background in the theoretical and critical literature necessary to pursue and excel study. The Mass Communication curriculum is grounded in student participation and empowerment, and provide students with the skills necessary to communicate effectively and appropriately. They also obtain a strong educational background in the theoretical and critical literature necessary to pursue and excel study prepares students for the modern information age by studying a field that affects all others and helps them compete in the cut throat environment of News Gathering, analysis and Broadcast/publishing. The course provides students with a comprehensive grounding in the theories, its practical approaches and research necessary for studying, analyzing, and understanding media and communication processes in both national and global contexts. The course aim a providing the candidates with critical knowledge of the historical development and key paradigm shifts in the study of media, culture and communication.

Maximum Seats: 30 (thirty)

Eligibility: Minimum 40% marks in Graduation

Duration: One year divide into two semesters of six months (July to December and January to June).

Internship & Project Work: Every student will have to undergo internship of minimum three week duration and submit a project report at his/her own cost.

Passing Standard: 36% in each paper and 40% in aggregate. A candidate will be allowed to appear in a maximum of two back paper subject to one, such attempt in a paper.

Laboratory: There are separate laboratories for print and electronic media. Well equipped computer lab and a state-of-art studio is available.
