Department of Zoology was established in 2001 with the Undergraduate Degree Course. Course are affiliated to the HNB Garhwal University , Srinagar, Garhwal ,Uttarakhand . Till date only undergraduate classes related subject are running in the college.
A total number of 60 seats only are sanctioned for the B.Sc. Zoology in this college.
The department has a well equipped laboratory for practical classes. Also the faculty is actively engaged in conducting various major research projects sponsored by central and state government agencies such as Department and Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi, University, Grants Commission, Government of India, New Delhi and Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology, Uttarakhand Government, Dehradun. All the research Projects are functional under Diatom Reseach Lab, Zoology Department.
The Department of Zoology is also running Ph.D. Progrmmes under the supervision of Dr. Rachna Nautiyal.
