Faculty of Science was established in 2001 with an Undergraduate program in the college under affiliation with HNB Garhwal University. In 2014, the department has been upgraded to PG status. In 2019, the affiliation of the college shifted to SDS Uttarakhand University, Badsahithaul, Tehri.
120 seats in undergraduate program and 17 seats in post graduate program with 2 major specialization Inorganic and Organic are running under guidance of 3 faculty members.
The department have a well equipped laboratory and a departmental library. The department is actively engaged in research in various areas.
