The College is committed to promote a qualitative higher education to the aspirants in various disciplines of knowledge and develop aptitude and skills of students in order to equip them to face the future challenges. The college also seeks to provide value based education to women and socioeconomically background students and to the student belonging to the weaker section of Jaunsar Bawar region. The prime objective of the college is to transform the students into well meaning citizens through the committed pattern of instructions based curricular aspects. The college not only aims to provide higher education and transmit subject knowledge to all the students in national context but also provide platform for various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for an overall development of the students.
The college offers six semesters (CBCS) degree course at UG level as BA, B. Sc., B. Com., B.Ed. and BBA. It includes Core papers, Discipline Specific Elective papers, Skill Enhancement Course, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course etc. The semester system in PG Diploma in Journalism and mass communication (PGDJMC) and PG Diploma in Yogic Science (PGDYS). At PG level courses (Semester system) i.e. MA in Hindi, English, Political Science, History, M. Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and M.Com. offered by the college.
The college has the provision of skill oriented programmes which enhance the personality and communication skill. The college also makes efforts through the activities such as NCC and NSS by applying human touch (hearing patiently, understanding the feelings, motivations and encouragement, upholding the status and dignity and honoring as a person etc.). During these activities number of experts and resource persons are invited who illuminate the students on matters covering diverse topics.
College always encourages the faculty members to participate in refresher course, orientation course to attain the exposure and maintain their research and academic temperament. Departments of various disciplines conduct local seminars, workshop and encourage the student to participate in all such activities to attain the advance level of knowledge. In order to empower the use of ICT the college has provided a Computer/laptop to each department. Wi- Fi facility has also been provided in the campus.
The students have access to well stocked library with latest textbooks, reference books, National dailies, Journals, Magazines and so on. The library also has INFLIBNET facility where the students and the faculty are allowed to browse the national and international journals and procuring more books and other reading material. The college provide various platforms to the students by opening the membership to various clubs at the beginning of the session, namely Sports club, Academic club, Cultural club etc. The college promotes students participation in extracurricular activities by organizing Annual Sports, Annual Function, Quiz Competition, Debate are regular features of the college.
The good result of the college and its performance in various competitions at university level helps student progression for higher level of education. The teachers in the college provide the relevant knowledge and motivation about higher education to the students which also facilitate student’s progression to higher level of education.
College organizes annual sports, cultural and union week in which most student take participation. The college publish magazine ‘Kalindi’ and organize seminars and workshop time to time. The college has the biometric to ensure the presence of teaching and non-teaching staff to assist the students regularly. The college is known for its academic and administrative environment, sanctity of examination and excellent results.
